January’s auctions are just around the corner — and Bonhams has announced that this year’s auction, held at the Westin Kierland Resort in Scottsdale, AZ, will feature a well restored Lamborghini Miura as one of its featured consignments.
This car, chassis 3057, was restored to its original configuration in 2016 by a team of specialists. It’s a three-owner car that still has its original engine, now fully rebuilt with updated internals. It shows just 33,000 miles on the clock.
The car was complete in 2017, just in time for Miura’s 50th anniversary and, against the largest field of Miuras assembled to date, was awarded Best Restored Miura at The Quail during Monterey Car Week.
That same year, it also took Best Miura, Best Lamborghini, and the coveted Best in Show at Concorso Italiano and was awarded the Automobili Lamborghini America’s Bull Award — arguably the highest honor for any classic Lamborghini.
The sale will include extensive restoration records, several concours trophies and the car’s original Italian license plate. Bonhams’ estimate on the car is $2.2m to $2.8m.
The auction takes place at the Westin Kierland Resort and Spa in Scottsdale, AZ on January 24. Learn more about the car, and the event, here.
