On Sunday, November 3, the Port Royal Golf Club on Hilton Head Island will host the annual Hilton Head Concours — a celebration of the automobile that will bring together nearly 200 special vehicles and 75 judges from around North America.
This year’s Honored Marques are Rolls-Royce and Bentley — and more than 25 of them will be on-site as part of the celebration. Included are a 1929 Rolls-Royce Derby Tourer that was originally ordered by cowboy star Rex Bell as a gift for actress and fiancee Clara Bow, as well as a 1925 Silver Ghost Piccadilly Roadster custom ordered by Howard Hughes and restored in its original color scheme.
This year’s event will also celebrate the 125th Anniversary of Packard, and will also have classes that include American Cars from 1964, 60 Years of Ford Mustang, Pop Culture Cars of the 1950s and 1960s, Classic Japanese Performance, Jaguar XK, Micro Cars (co-presented by the Lane Motor Museum), Radwood Supercars of the 1980s and 1990s, Barn Finds, International Prototypes and many more. See them all here.
In addition, this year’s event will present a handful of special exhibits that include the Pinnacle Award, the Honored Collector, the Velocity Collector, the Life Exhibit, and On the Water.
Of course, it’s not just about the concours itself. On Saturday, November 2, the Car Club Showcase welcomes more then 200 cars from local car clubs to the concours green at the Port Royal Golf Club, as well as a Rolls-Royce Owners’ Club Mini Meet. An Aero Expo at the Hilton Head Island Airport takes place the same day — and the same ticket gets you in to all three events.
General admission to the Car Club Showcase and Aero Expo starts at $80, and Sunday concours admission is $90 — and there are different packages available that include early access, reserved parking, food and drink and more. Learn more here.
