Lot 351 is a 1957 Jaguar XKSS — one of 16 such roadgoing cars produced from the remnants of the D-Type line. This car, s/n XKSS 707, is among the most original and best preserved of the 16, with its matching-numbers engine block, head, gearbox, rear axle and bodywork.
It’s being offered for sale at RM Sotheby’s Monterey auction next week. It carries a pre-sale estimate of $12,000,000 to $14,000,000.
