Dare to Dream Collection Auction Starts Friday

Starting Friday and running through June 1, RM Sotheby’s will present the Dare to Dream Collection in Toronto — a sale that’s described by the company as “a collection of dreams, embodied in reality as iconic examples of automobiles, sneakers and sports memorabilia.”

Each item in this collection was chosen to highlight the exemplary — including 99 rare sneakers, plenty of automobilia, art and cars from Ferrari, Porsche, Mercedes-Benz, Ford and beyond.

The event takes place in the collection’s 17,000-square-foot home in the heart of Toronto.

Some of the standout lots include a 1985 Ferrari 288 GTO with Ferrari Classiche Red Book and CoA, a 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 Touring with its numbers-matching engine, a 1990 Ferrari F40 “non-cat non-adjust” with under 1,000 miles, a 2015 McLaren P1 in Gulf colors, a 1996 Ferrari F50 with Classiche Red Book, a 2003 Ferrari Enzo, a 1972 Lamborghini Miura P400 SV by Bertone,  a 1989 Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary with under 1,700 miles, a 1959 Porsche 356 A Carrera 1600 GS Sunroof coupe with Kardex and Porsche CoA, and a range of NASCAR racers that includes Jeff Gordon’s 2000 Chevrolet Monte Carlo that the driver used to achieve his 50th victory at Talladega in 2000. All of it is being offered without reserve.

Of course, this is just a small sample of what’s available on-site in Toronto. See all 301 of those lots here, as well as the sneaker and online collections, which close on the 5th and the 3rd, respectively.
